Ismailism and Islam: Oil and Water

Oil and water do not mix – which too is the case with Ismailism and Islam. They have nothing in common. The following are the unislamic beliefs of Ismailis which categorically violate the fundamentals of Quran, Sunnah and Tawheed and therefore prove how different Ismailism and Islam are from each other.

1. The Authority of Aga Khan over Allah

Karim al-Huseini, Aga Khan IV has acquired powers of issuing verdicts of  Halal and Haram and Ismailis have distanced themselves from Quran and Sunnah to an extent that one would not find the Holy Quran in most of Ismaili homes.

2.Involvement with Riba

The Aga Khan has made Halaal for the Ismailis that which Allah has made Haraam for the mankind. Involvement with Interest (Riba or Usury) is not forbidden by the religious instruction classes run by the “Tariqah Board” of the Ismailis. In fact, the Aga Khan has recently acquired one of the largest banks in Pakistan, Habib Bank Limited which openly engages in Riba transactions through conventional banking.

3. Quran was “Time-Bound”

Ismailis all professedly believe that the Qur’an was time-bound and was not meant to be a universal message for all times. They believe that their spiritual leader, Karim Aga Khan, is the “walking and talking Qur’an” and his “religious pronouncements”, whatever they may be, are the “guidance” for the present times. The fundamental article of faith that there will not be any new revelations or after the Qur’an, is being completely violated by the Ismailis.

4. Aga Khan is Manifestation of Allah on Earth

The Aga Khan has officially declared himself, before his followers, as the “Mazhar of Allah on Earth”. The word “mazhar” means “copy” or “manifest”. Consequently, these Ismailis who call themselves Muslims prostrate before Aga Khan. Therefore even the primary axiomatic principle of Tawheed is being fundamentally violated by Ismailis.

5. Ignoring the Islamic Ablution, Salah, Fasting and Hajj

The Ismailis are not instructed to offer the Islamic Salaah, observe Saum or perform Hajj. They have replaced Salaah with their own shirk-infested Dua’a (one in the morning and two combined in the evening) and singing Ginans in the form of Hindu-inspired hymns.

The ritual of Dua’a is performed without performing any ablution and through ignorance of all principles of purification (taharah) prescribed in the Shariah.

Similarly , Ginans are songs which are sung in their Jamatkhanas, which are places of worship where Ismailis go to instead of going to Masjids. These Jamatkhanas have recently been re-branded as Ismaili Centers in the western countries.

Ismailis are told that their Hajj is a personal “glimpse” (deedaar) of Karim Aga Khan.

Until recently, all Jamatkhanas were equipped with life-size pictures of Aga Khan in front of which Ismailis used to prostrate during their prayer of Dua’a.These pictures from the front walls have recently been removed due to criticism inside the Ismaili community.

Ismailis do not face the Qibla during their prayer (Holy Dua’a). In the book “Ismaili Tariqah , written by a famous Ismaili Missionary, Abu Aly A. Aziz, it is mentioned on page 184: “Facing the Qibla in prayer is not a fundamental principle of Islam, it is a tradition.”

6. Aga Khan has the Authority to Forgive Sins

The Aga Khan and his appointees ‘forgive the sins’ of the followers on a regular basis. Ismailis are misled into believing that they will not be questioned on the Day of Judgment for the sins since their sins are already forgiven in their Jamatkhanas. Whereas forgiving sins is the exclusive prerogative and privilege of Allah (swt) alone. (Qur’an 3:135).

The above is just a sample of the shirk- and kufr-infested beliefs of the Nizari Ismailis, who claim to be the “second-largest sect inside Shia’a Islam”. In reality, they have nothing in common with Islam

ISMAILIES insist on being called Muslims but they indeed do not profess and practice Islam based on quran and sunnah.Instead they believe that Karim aga khan of Paris is the Ultimate authority in Islam and in order to prepare room for this belief they interpret few aayats of quran in a way different from the rest of the ummah and reject whole remaining quran .The ummah has rejected their interpretation of quran  and Karim Aga Khan claims for which this interpretation is devised.Consequently they are unbelievers and out of the fold of ISLAM.
